What is the difference between genderqueer and agender?

There are terms that that seem to have same meaning but used differently. Terms like; genderqueer, non-binary, agender and neutrois.

  1. There are lots of words that are often used interchangeably, that doesn’t mean they don’t have different meanings. Genderqueer is anyone with a non-cis identity.
    Nonbinary- There is a gender identity, but it doesn’t really fit into the male-female dichotomy. Agender is not really a rejection of gender identity so much as the lack of it.

  2. The term genderqueer is very much similar to nonbinary, but has a slightly different meaning. The dictionary definition of genderqueer is “denoting or relating to a person who does not subscribe to conventional gender distinctions but identifies with neither, both, or a combination of male and female genders.”
    Nonbinary and genderqueer are often used interchangeably by some, but not everyone considers them the same thing.
