In a business environment, the employees have a vital role to play in maintaining positive work ethics. Therefore, you should not shy away from doing what is right in the workplace; you should always report illegal work activities whenever you suspect fraud. Employees should always uphold high standards in the workplace since this is the only way clients will respect and trust what they do. Business activities should be undertaken legally and ethically to protect business reputation and integrity.
If you are working in any field and suspect any unethical or illegal behavior with your workmates, you can contact the person in charge of the department. If the unethical behavior is beyond the workplace, you can report to the police. Also, you should document any unethical behavior stating the unethical practices at work, and what time it took place. Before reporting your colleague to the manager, you should first talk to them to get their view.
