They’re 6 years old twins- a boy and a girl. They want to share a room but I’m not sure it’s a wise idea.

Honestly, it depends on the kids. If the kids are clearly uncomfortable with sharing a room when it’s possible for them to not share a room, then yes I think it’s wrong. It’s important to know what the two kids think about the situation. Personally, I’m more than okay sharing a room with my brother. But I’ve grown up never knowing what it’s like having my own room, and there was a time where I shared the master bedroom with all three of my siblings. It really depends on the children.
Little ones sharing a room makes it hard to get them to sleep sometimes but the benefits are instead of two or more messy rooms, there is only one. Kids really should have some privacy once they are teens. Something as simple as a curtain or room divider can turn one room into two sort of.
