Black privilege is just as silly as white privilege. People are individuals first, not groups, and we’re judged as individuals first. Skin colour alone doesn’t determine where you end up in life. Does a white homeless person have more privilege than Kanye West, Oprah Winfrey or Barack Obama? Just because you’re black, it doesn’t mean you can’t get an education and succeed.
In any case, I find the idea of “privilege” to be counter-productive and even destructive, because it teaches people that the odds are stacked against them from the start, so why even try?
