The difference between self-confidence and pride is discovery. An arrogant person is constantly trying to prove themselves they will take every chance they can to show you why they’re great. A person who is self-confident you have to watch them work, act, or what for he situation to arrive when they surprise you with their talents. Confidence is believing in yourself. Pride is thinking you’re better than others and deserve things just because of who you are.
There really is a thin line between self-confidence and pride, and that is why people often mistake one for another. Self confidence is not pride, and pride is not be to taken as self confidence. A confident person is proud of themselves for their own sake, but a proud person is proud to prove themselves to others. Self confidence is wanting to do well because it’s what you want for yourself instead of comparing yourself, and needing to be better than other people.
