I don’t think there are provisions made for that. So, you’ll have to go all the way for yourself. GoFundMe is a site that has helped lots of individuals receive donations from people for different purposes. Just create a campaign and share it on social media. Because the site acts as the go-between, donors feel confident giving money. Most people use GoFundMe to finance things like education, medical expenses, or charitable donations, but if you can create a convincing case for why people should finance your startup, this could be the perfect solution to getting the financing you need.
If an ex-con decides to go back to school or start up a business, there are short loans available for such purposes. An ex-con might be able to get a federal Pell Grant to start up a business or federal student loan to finance going back to school. Being a felon does not automatically disqualify you; financial need is the main criterion. Also, you can be on the lookout for government grants you can apply for.
