I strongly think some restaurant foods are highly pricey, and it’s so unnecessary. There should be some sort of regulations that look into how restaurants sell their foods.
There are a lot of factors that determine the prices of foods in a restaurant. Honestly, good food is not cheap, there are restaurants that put in the extra work to make sure they give out great services in terms of their food quality, that is what speaks for them. Great service is not cheap either, so it’s either you gracefully enjoy and pay for it or you approach one that is within your means.
The type of service offered can affect your restaurant menu pricing. If it’s a casual restaurant, you can charge less because you spend less on service. But, for a fine dining restaurant, the prices will go up as the quality of your customer service and hospitality will also be better. Restaurants in airports or food courts at malls charge more for their food as they are the only available source of food. As the demand is more than the supply, they are willing to get away with it. If your restaurant serves exclusive or specialty menu items or offers a different ambiance, you can charge more for the food and the experience.
