The cracks on my lips are getting painful and I don’t know what to do about them, the pharmacist says it’s normal but I want to know if there could be an underlying cause?

are you sure you’re not just dehydrated? How often do you drink water? dry cracking lips could be a sign of dehydration as well, also try using balming/moisturizing products on your lips as well, you will find really good ones that are actually medicinal that would do the work vitamins are also essential.
I would suggest you get it checked out if you do not have the bad habit of licking your lips often, also try to stay away from smoking as this essentially dehydrates you. Cracked lips are rarely causes for major concern except they come with other symptoms like coloring of the lips, if they appear purplish then you should see a doctor ASAP
