Do you have house rules for guests?

I tend to have visitors from time to time, however I really do not like my visitors taking pictures in my house. Is it normal to present rules to visitors when they come visiting?

      I believe it is simply normal to have rules for guests. Do not show up unexpectedly. Unless I invite you over I need at least 12hrs notice. I’m an excellent loner and I love to cook but I’m a terrible house keeper. So unless you’re cool with my disaster of a kitchen and living room give me notice so I can make sure the house is clean. please, take your shoes off! Half my house is carpet and the other half is original hardwood flooring. I don’t like stepping on wet carpet in my socks, and I don’t want my hardwood warped from your wet shoes. Bring slipper, borrow slippers I don’t care just don’t wear your outside shoes in my house. The bedrooms are off limits unless you’re invited in.

      Having lived on my own for a long time, I’d say I really receiving guests. But there are times when I’d have no choice than to entertain guests. Hence, the house rules;
      Don’t invite yourself over on short notice. Call ahead, text message, or email me to know if I have time to spend with visitors or family who want to stop by.
      I have budgets, so you have to make a plan for how you will feed yourself if you’d be staying for more than 2days.
      Please leave my things as they are. It is incredibly irritating to have to rearrange my shelves and cabinets after they are shifted about. I know that speck of OCD about places is yelling to put them in order, but I cannot find them if they are moved around on me.
      If you want to curl up on the couch with a book, feel free. However, do not dog ear the pages of my books or damage the books in any way. Please be aware that my books are prized by me and I have a specific order to the series’ I have by various authors. Put them back in order when you’re done with them.
      Take your shoes off before putting your feet up. If your feet smell like stinky socks, put your shoes and socks outside on my front balcony and go wash your feet with soap and water. I am incredibly sensitive to certain smells, so the smell of whatever funk is lingering in your shoes will turn me green.
      No illegal drugs. Period. This is non-negotiable. You will not be coming back here if you bring them into my home.
