Mask era, the new normal. When you go out without face masks, you can easily see someone who walks up to you to mask up, that is, use your face mask. I walked up to someone at the mall to use their facemask but he got in his feelings. I feel this is only way we can really curb the spread and make the vaccine efective.

I have walked out of the house a couple of times and had to turn back to pick up the mask. In the grand scheme of things, this is a minor inconvenience for the greater good. I just don’t understand why some make it a big deal. I have got to the point where I have spare masks in my car, in all my jackets, in my bag etc. It really helps when I forget and I am too far to want to turn back.
I’ve forgotten to put mine on twice when going into the grocery store. Once, I noticed it partway into my shopping so I rolled the buggy to the side, went out to my car and got my mask. The other time, I was standing in line with all my food, people in front of me, people to the rear. A store employee approached me and let me know I needed to wear a mask. I was mortified and ashamed. I immediately apologized and said, “I’m so sorry, I forgot. I have one in my car and I’ll get it now.” She said, “that’s okay, we have them here just for this situation.” As soon as I had it on I apologized profusely to the people in front of me, and the people behind. I felt unclean for exposing my neighbors to danger, and undoubtedly contributing to their fear. I’m happy to do my small part, and I’ll continue to take my cues from the medical and scientific community.
