Everyone experiences emotions, it simply takes a particular trigger for the river to break the dam. I think people need to learn to experience their emotions yet still not feel governed by them. Very different from repressing or numbing them.
I used to be one to shy away from my feelings and emotions, I took whatever anyone throws at me just like that. I have always hated confrontations, until I realised I was killing my self on the inside. I learned the hard way. I’d bottled in too much emotions that I bursted out real hard when I did. Express your emotions as they come, never bottle in your emotions. Letting out your mind and how you feel about things not only helps you maintain healthy relationships with people, it also help you stay healthy. You’re more free, you fee a lot better when you confront your feelings.
