Although, not legal, but yes therapists can develop feelings for their clients. See, therapists are humans too, they feel the things their so called clients feel, they’re not super humans. Intense feelings happen. However, a professional would transfer the client immediately. It will affect judgment and the ability to help, not to mention the distraction factor. Acting on such a feeling is against the law. It would be both destructive and self-destructive.
I know many know this already but your therapist should never make any kind of romantic or sexual advances towards you. Therapists are supposed to be professionals and them using their position of trust over you is an absolute abuse of power. You should be completely safe when you are with your therapist, and it is disgusting that there are therapists out there who selfishly seek out sexual or romantic relationships with those that they are supposed to serve.
