is it okay to help pick someone’s call if they’re not around, and tell their caller to call back?

Answering somebody else’s phone prevents the incoming call from going to voice mail, which could be inconvenient or disruptive for the person the call was intended for. And depending on the situation, answering somebody else’s phone might be considered an invasion of privacy. Most people would be a little weirded out if you answered their phone or took a message for them. This is not, generally speaking, considered proper.
There is absolutely no point picking someone’s call just because their phone is around you and they are not around to pick their calls. You see, even if the calls seem to be disturbing your peace, you could put the cellphone on silence. I see picking someone’s calls as invasion of privacy as i would not do that to someone, i wouldn’t want anyone pick my calls no matter what, except I ask for it.
