Only you and your child know what’s best for the two of you. After nine to 12 months, your child may decide on her own that she no longer wants to be breastfed.

  2. There is no fixed or specific time that a nursing mother should breastfeed her baby, I’ve seen some moms stop when their baby is three months, some 6 months, a year, 2 years and more. I think it highly depends on the availability of the mom and the nature of her job. Also, breastfeeding time is a great bonding time for both mom and baby, so I can understand why some nursing moms breastfeed their babies when when they’re 3 plus years old.
