Why do I need to sign up for YouTube premium if the movies are all free anyway?

It’s totally worth it if you consume a lot of content on YouTube and you get irritated with the millions of ads that pop up. Like, it’s an ad-free experience, and YouTube ads can be annoying as hell sometimes. YouTube premium also gives you access to premium content and is pretty decently priced. On the Premium, you can watch Videos in background. On normal version of YouTube when you switch to other app, video gets paused. On YouTube Premium, you can play videos in background. Then, there is the YouTube originals, this is one of my favourite components of the premium package. Many YouTube creators have created some exclusive content which posted on originals this you can access only with a premium. So, I think it’s worth a try.
It all depends on your usage of YouTube particularly on mobile devices. YouTube premium offers offline content, ad-free videos and background play. If you think it adds to your utility, then go for it. If not, ditch it. There is lot of content on YouTube. Not just entertainment, lot of educational videos, audiobooks, etc., things you can learn to be more productive. The issue with current YouTube is it drains your phone battery as you have to keep the screen on. But with the premium, you can switch between apps or lock your phone and still listen to your music, increasing your battery time. Which is exactly my reason to subscribe to it.
