Is it okay if I return to a company where I was previously sacked?

It depends, especially if you were wrongly fired, cos what else would make a company that previously fired you want to rehire you? You may have been offered to be rehired to prevent a possible legal termination issue that was their fault. Management may partly be trying to cover themselves even if you don’t come back. I’m sure they’re taking notes or saving all communications of all subsequent conversations in case anything goes further. Just another perspective imo. Whether you rejoin or not is partly a pride issue as well, as not everyone can handle that.
Sounds like it wouldn’t hurt. It will will almost definitely be weird at first. Some people handle that better than others. And you should not think about enacting any kind of vengeance on the person who fired you. Wrongful or not, that kind of behavior can really damage your reputation. Would you be quitting another job? If you are unemployed you might as well go back and see how you are treated.
