Are people allowed to travel interstate during this celebration time?
The Omicron coronavirus variant is already everywhere and travel bans will not stop its spread. Vaccines should only be mandated at a population level as a last resort, adding that whatever measures countries were taking against Delta would also provide benefit against Omicron.
Some countries already put restrictions on international travels. Aside from the travel bans affecting passengers from several states, some countries have now brought in more stringent rules. Most countries now require all passengers to take a pre-departure test at most, 48 hours before flying to your host country, regardless of their vaccination status.
