I really don’t know the exact amount, but they would basically need you to show that you have a parent or closed one or a scholarship sponsoring your stay over there and while a letter from the bank will prove that the money is there. If possible ask family to pool their money into your account temporarily that way you can have the bank print off your account information with a letter stating how much you have.
There is no specific amount stated for US student visa proof of funds. The amount is depended on the type of school you’re go to for your studies. But it is always advisable to show more than what is required for smooth process. You have to show one-year funds for whatever duration course you are going to. One year Tuition fees + One year Living Cost.
