If I commit suicide and die, will I find myself in heaven or hell, since the Bible clearly says “thou shall not kill”.

I think you’re missing the point here. What is there on this earth that is worth ending your life over? I can’t think of anything! Now, there is a lot of things in the world that are worth laying your life down for. Like doing anything it takes to help others, wether they deserve it or not. So, if you keep yourself busy helping others you won’t have time to worry about ending your life. I am sure that you have a lot of special skills that would really make someone’s day better. I really hope this finds you well.
First of all, taking your own life is believed to be a sin by many biblical scholars, and ministers, including myself from my own study of the Bible for twenty years. Second of all, Jesus Christ died not only for our past sins, his salvation will save us from sins both present and future as well. In short, If you truly believe in Christ and kill yourself, you will still be saved. A long time before Jesus, people achieved salvation by sacrificing animals for atonement. That atonement was similar to Jesus and covered people’s past, present, and future sins. In the Book of Judges, Samson and the Philistines were killed by falling rubble from a temple being toppled. Samson was the one who toppled the temple. However, his belief of God saved him from his sin of killing himself and the other people. Jesus’s salvation would have worked similarly. However allowing yourself to commit sin just because you know Jesus can save you is wrong. Especially when it comes to suicide, it is one of the most selfish things you can do because it causes so much pain for the people who loved you, your community, and your friends.
