Many people expect that Chris would sue Will smith after the slap he got at the Oscars award night. Why would he decide not to press charges?
Now, Will Smith might find himself with assault charges. I doubt he’d be charged too severely though, given it wasn’t sustained, didn’t cause any real damage, and the offensive joke that caused him to act out. That’s not going to absolve him of guilt by any means, but it would likely minimize the penalty if oscars or Chris decide to press charges.
I seriously feel he should do something, even if he doesn’t want to press charges. But some people suggested that he won’t because he knows that Will is broken and it’s Jada’s fault. Chris is definitely a man to be admired for maintaining his cool and continuing to do his job.
