I believe people grief in different ways. Many may even have never heard about the person before they died. And going through the person’s profile after his or her death, people then go through their profile, scrutinize their pictures and see if they can get some clues to their death. Most people follow the account just to keep the memory of such personal intact in their head/mind.
It’s simply in respect of the dead and wish them to Rest In Peace, nothing more. Why do people attend funerals? They are dead already, no? Why do people cry for someone they cared about? What’s the point? It’s not always for the person who passed away, also for the person who still lives. A way of saying goodbye… some just need to do it their own way to feel better, even if that dead person won’t be checking their account. Grow a heart. Does it cause you pain seeing someone do that? Lice and let live.
