What is making my thumb get stiff anytime I dip it inside water?

You can like to check the cause at the hospital. Most times finger stiffness is caused as a result of arthritis. But it can also be as a result of accident or something. Try to check if there’s any swelling or pain. You can take some over the counter drugs to suppress the stiffness or go to the hospital for a long term solution.
My mom used to complain of this, hers wasn’t just the thumb but almost all her fingers. She got some prescribed meds and she was asked to perform the warm water therapy. The warm water therapy is her dipping her fingers inside warm water anytime she had cause to touch her hands with water. And truly, it helped after a whole lot of dedication.
