Why don’t I stay awake just like every other person when I use coffee? Instead I feel so tired and sleepy

Although it perks most people up, but the effects of caffeine may differ from one person to another. Caffeine works differently on different people. My mother in Law could have a cup of cut and go to bed and straw away to sleep. I have coffee and am wide awake.
Sometimes when I drink coffee I get sleepy/yawney but I know I wouldn’t be able to sleep. It depends on the time of day for me. it definitely helps me during the peak morning hours. when I consume it after work, it calms me. but I think it’s neurologic side effect where I know I am home from work so it soothes me. the chemical properties are the same but my mind knows where I am.
