Perks of being smart I call it. A lot of people have probably made it their life mission to make me feel like I’m being proud whenever I display my smartness. Is smartness something to hide? I guess not. Why do people always make me feel sorry when I’m being smart?
Well, that’s one of the negative aspects of being intelligent and smart. You really should know you can never satisfy people, that’s a fact you should always have in your heart. Except you kind of “show off” yourself, you really should have no problem with people saying stuff like you’re proud or something. They’d always have something to say anyway. Just do you. And if you can, help share more knowledge around. The world needs a lot of smart and intelligent individuals.
It’s called intelligence-shaming. People don’t tell football players not to say they are good at football. People don’t tell musicians to pretend they can’t sing. Yet, they shame anyone who admits they have a high intelligence. Do not dim your light for anyone or group or people.
