These schemes are mostly known as the “get rich quick” schemes, money investment platforms where you invest some money and get a particular ROI monthly or yearly. Sadly, most or all of the schemes don’t last, thus scamming people off the little they have.

The thing about most scams nowadays is it’s a numbers game. They send a mass email or make numerous calls trying to play on people’s emotions. They could be intimidating, share a sad story or make outrageous claims of wealth if you just buy into what they are offering.
Whatever it is they are offering the person they are trying to scam doesn’t do their homework. No fact checking. They don’t call anyone else to inquire if this is real or not. It’s easy to be scammed when your emotions get involved. Most scammers also put a quick turn around time on when they need whatever it is from you or you’ll miss out or be harmed. People panic. FOMO is real for a lot of folks. Hope that helps. Thank you for the question!
people are relatively easy to deceive — For all of the prattle about how intelligent and smooth con artists are, the majority simply prey upon the vanities, insecurities and greed of others. Even when a idea has been thoroughly discredited, they can find victims who haven’t learned their lesson. It is difficult to prove things to many people. Even when confronted with evidence of scams being scams, many people will not believe you. They think that you are trying to make them look foolish or that you and not they, are person who doesn’t understand. Con artists prey people’s affinity for their own. Also, most people don’t understand finances- Most people operate with a barebones understanding of finance and investing. If they find someone who knows more and who radiates an air of trust, they believe him or her. This is even when this type of thinking has failed them in the past. Because some people can only comprehend reward. They cannot understand risks — Some people, no matter how detailed things are explained to them, can only understand the rewards portion of any financial discussion. No matter how much or how often you explain things to them, they still only perceive that they are getting something.
