It really does seem as though people are no longer scared of contracting HIV. Are upgrades in the treatments of HIV now?

  1. You can say that again, the improvement in researches have made a lot of people relaxed. Compared to when HIV was first detected, it was seen as the “end of the world”. In fact, many people committed suicide even before the virus killed them. But now, thanks to the upgrade we now have in medicine. But does any of this mean that I want to become HIV-positive, that I will not do whatever I can reasonably do to avoid the risk? Not at all. HIV these days might have been reduced to an eminently manageable problem, but it’s still a problem. Quite frankly, I don’t need to add another problem to my life. Why risk it unnecessarily?

  2. We seem to have dropped our guard about HIV because we either believe HIV to be a distant threat or because we no longer fear infection because we know it can be easily treated. Let’s not forget that the only treatment even as at now is still “safe sex”. No matter how much drugs you take, it still won’t cure you or HIV.
