I’d say stay near Covent garden and the theater district. It’s close to the London Underground which can be used for traveling to all tourist spots. Restaurants and bars around Covent garden are open late and walkable from nearby hotels. Also, there are great breakfast spots around that neighborhood and coffee shops all within walking distance. And Uber is always an available option for commuting if you don’t want to take the subway.
Which part of London will spending time in? London is a very big city. You really don’t want to get a hotel far away and then spend all your time commuting in to do tourist things. It will really hamper getting the most out of London, especially in the evenings. You can list out the the places you’d like to see when you travel, that would help you narrow your choices when it comes to area you can stay in.
