I have had a much better time traveling with one or more friends than solo. I enjoy a day or two of wandering a city on my own, but if I’m planning a trip now and I don’t have anyone to go with me I’ll simply do a small group tour. I have found that the more people I travel with, the less likely it is that I have a really interesting interaction with local people but traveling with just one other person I have had just as much of that as I have when traveling solo.
It depends on the purpose of the travel, if it was a mini vacation, I’d love to go with friends, have a swell time, take lots of pictures and seal memories. But it’s a vacation where I intend to clear my head and meet new people, see places and try out new stuff, I am definitely going without company. Cos that’s the only way I can really achieve the purpose of the travel.
