Where can I keep my files hidden from the prying eyes of people who access my computer?
Find the file or folder you want to hide.
—Right-click it, and select “Properties.”
—In the menu that appears, check the box that’s labeled “Hidden.”
—Click “ok” at then bottom of the window
—Your file or folder is now hidden.
You can uncheck a hidden file or folder at any time to make it visible.
Usually system files and folders are hidden for a reason, and it’s best to know that reason before you edit files that are hidden by default.
Hiding files in your computer is quite easy:
Select the files or folders you want to hide
Right-click and choose Properties
Click the General tab
Click the checkbox next to Hidden in the Attributes section
Click Apply
Now the files you chose are hidden away and people won’t see them when they’re looking through your folders. When you need to find those files again, just turn Hidden Items on.
