I personally don’t like wearing a watch when I swim. However I know most of the more expensive metal cased watches are waterproof. Watches I have personally used include the G Shock watches and Baby Gās. These are often used by divers and have proved water proof to me. I have also swum with a Swatch watch on many times. This never stopped or broke and I eventually had to buy a new one as the band got too old.
