My son at 11years still wets the bed everyday. I’m really so frustrated because I’ve tried everything possible to make him stop. What can I do?

You can try by being tolerant about it, because he’s definitely beating himself so hard. You don’t need to make it any harder. I was a teen bedwetter- in fact I still am more nights than not at the age of 29. Nobody wants to wet the bed, and trust me, would try about anything to stop. But getting a lot of stress from parents, who think they are either peeing on purpose or have some life threatening disease, is really damaging to emotional growth at that age and creates much unnecessary additional anxiety. You child will either out grow it or they won’t. From experience I can tell you, the longer it persists after going through puberty, the less likely it will ever stop entirely- and I am the poster child for that.
You have my sympathies. I know what you’re going through. I was a bed wetter until age 10, and some of my siblings went even later. My mother never shamed us as far as I remember. But what a lot of laundry! Here are some things I’ve learned. Some anti seizure meds, e.g., Depakote, are associated with bed wetting. Some people don’t make or make enough of the hormone which affects water retention in the kidneys. There’s a medication called desmopressin acetate that replaces it.
I recommend depend pants. Also, mattress pads- you can get disposable ones- on top of the mattress cover. One of the odd things I’ve noticed is that increased bed wetting seems to be associated with mood disturbances.
