My face looks so lean, I’m not trying to lose weight at all. Never hopped on any weigh loss scheme. Why am I losing weight in my face?

Hi Tamera, there are a lot of factors that contribute to losing facially weight. One is excessive exposure of harmful sun on your face, it causes your face to shrink and get wrinkled, you automatically lose face weight and get sunspots. Poor eating diet is also one, in fact, a major one. You may not be trying to lose weight but if you’re not on good diet, it will tell on your body and your face might just be one of the conspicuous places the lack of poor diet will start showing. Smoking also plays a vital and detrimental role when it comes to the health of facial skin. Vitamin C levels in smokers are notably depleted in comparison to people who do not smoke. Lower vitamin C levels can result in a thinning of the layers of skin, a reduction of collagen and elastin, along with a decrease in muscle tone. Smoking causes the skin to sag and get old untimely.
Stress Research has shown the amount of damage that stress can have on a person, even causing an individual to age more rapidly. This can also cause a huge loss on your facial weight.
You might be ignoring hunger feelings from your body. If you are eating a lot but still losing weight then you have to see a doctor.
If you have just got into the habit of not eating enough try to start eating regular filling meals and try and revive your hunger feelings and eat when you are hungry. Protein intake is highly important. Stress and trauma are also capable of shrinking you facially, I’ve been there. I looked so totally different from who I was. Cut down your stress and take care of yourself better.
