Breakfast is (maybe the most) an important meal of the day, personally when I don’t eat breakfast I develop headache. I’m not even so big on food like that, but I make sure I eat breakfast.

There isn’t a perfect or best time, of of course, unless you have a physical or medical schedule that dictates when you take food. I may have something quick and easy when I have a VA medical appointment. Then again, I may wait until after my appointment and eat at the canteen. On a lazy day, I may not get up before 9am and finally fix some breakfast by 10:30am, which is closer to brunch, which I also enjoy. For most working people who have kids, breakfast can unfortunately be a luxury saved for children before getting them off to school and grabbing something fast on the way to work. Or make something simple to take with you and eat at your desk while checking email. So as far as picking the optimum time for breakfast, this is very personal related to time and circumstances. As a comfortably single person, I can eat breakfast anytime I personally feel and do so slowly while reading the NY Times via my laptop.

I think that time is different for everyone because it depends on your schedule and what time you get up in the morning. I personally do not eat breakfast because I get up 7am to get ready for work and I’m not hungry that early in the morning. I take a nutritional supplement when I first wake up and then eat a snack such as a granola bar or a piece of fruit about mid morning- probably around 9:30 or so most days. The important thing is that your body is getting the proper nutrition. You just have to find what works for you.
