Everyone you will ever meet know something you don’t know. I try to learn at least one thing from each person I meet. It’s not a principle I follow to the core, it’s just something I happen to do without any difficulty. There are always valuable lessons to be learnt from each person we encounter.

The present moment is all there is. All our worries and plans about the future, all our replaying of things that happened in the past- it’s all in our heads, and they are just distractions that prevent us from fully living for the present moment. We should learn to let go of all that, and just focus on what we are doing, right at this moment. Only this way can we move forward and be productive.
Gratitude is one of the best ways to find contentment. We are often discontent in our lives, we always desire more, because we don’t realize how much we have. We spend all our energy on things we don’t have and forget the things we already have. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, be grateful for the amazing things you have: the gift of loved ones and simple pleasures, gift of health, sight and the gift of music, books, of nature and beauty and the ability to create. Be grateful every day. Always be grateful for the life you have.
