      If you are not properly resting and stretching your muscles than it will increase cortisol as the other person already said which leads to fat gain!
      Also, your muscles will become swollen and you retain water. Your body will basically adapt and do what it can to try and recover itself even though you’re not letting it.

      Too much of exercise can cause major stress in the body, depending on what you are doing you can cause stress fractures, torn muscles, large amounts of cortisol levels which will lead to fat gain, bad sleep, and many other issues.
