They will, most likely, go right back to jail. Follow the rules. You are going to have a hard enough time getting a good job and living a good life without deliberately messing up.
The PO is not going to contact you. They have huge caseloads and are not going to babysit you. When you don’t report, they just order a violation of probation warrant and have you arrested.
Probation violators usually are not offered bail.
You most likely will be arrested and taken to jail, then shortly thereafter appear before a judge for a probation violation hearing. After your hearing, you may be remanded to custody to serve out some portion of your remaining sentence, up to and including the full remaining term if your probation is actually revoked. You might also have your probation extended or some of the other conditions changed.
