The best meal plan is the one your body needs. We don’t have universal needs: each of us is different. More than that, our body has different needs at different ages, different activity levels, different seasons or environments. I don’t eat red meat. It has nothing to do with animals, beliefs or so. I just know my body extremely well – I was born a 800g preemie, live with severe allergies and asthma to the whole range of triggers, so I had to pay attention to my body’s reactions because they’re quite unusual, and there was no way I could get the info about what I need from anywhere else. I can die if I have what other people need. And I had to learn this very early. I love fruits, and I can eat unlimited amounts without getting bored of them. There are some absolutely delicious dessert recipes, entirely raw. I can make soups from raw veggies – for example, cauliflower. It’s delicious, especially in winter time.
One way to improve your eating habits is to realize that life is full of choices and that is the case when we eat as well. Sometimes we need to ask ourselves, have I eaten enough already? Am I really hungry or am I bored, upset, etc.? Doing that might change your mind about some unneeded eating. When you do eat, choose healthier options. Eat meals containing ample protein and lots of vegetables. Snack healthily when you snack.
Be sure to get enough exercise too as it is much easier to maintain a decent weight if we exercise regularly. Small changes can have large beneficial effects over time, just as in investing!
