New York launched a vaccine verification app that is to people’s health status. Truly, it sounds like a great innovation but there are concerns about the privacy of individuals who use the app.
That is one of many issues that is not clear. Every county wants to know whether a prospective traveller’s vaccination means that their population will not be put at risk by the visitor. At present, only New York has launched such app and so many people are finding it so ridiculous.
Right now most countries and many airlines are requiring proof of a negative COVID-19 test to travel. That’s difficult, because it’s hard to get a test result back quickly right before you travel. Vaccine proof is much easier for both travelers and countries.
