There are so many teens out there who are so popular and famous, infact with million dollars to their name. Many of these teens are brand influencers on social media. The kind of fame teens are exposed to these days is alarming and it is quite so easy to get famous, with the high use of social media. Is this all good or there some bad effects of such fame and popularity on teens?

The social media is not the only way teens get overly popular and famous though, there are teen actors who got popular over a role in a movie. But of course, what makes the popularity stay is how much they stay relevant in the outside world and how much they keep up on major social media platforms. The ambition of many kids these days is to be famous, the tv, social media has greatly influenced this. While there’s really no harm in teens becoming popular and probably celebrities rather too early, the parents have a lot don work to put in. Once the popularity sets in there is the propensity to seek new friends online — a red flag all parents should monitor and parents should always endeavor to keep track of what their teen children do on those platforms. These teen celebrities tend to grow and mature so fast.
It wasn’t until two months I got to know my fourteen year old daughter is quite a big deal on Instagram, she has managed to amass a large amount of followers (over 200k) for herself. What does she do exactly? She styles her 4C natural hair, uploads different ways she cares for her hair— everything natural hair routine. When I saw the page, at first I was angry because I never wanted such for her at such a very young age. Her dad requested that she disable the Instagram account as it won’t make her concentrate in school. I told my mom about it and she advised that we do no such thing to her. She asked if she’s was lagging in her academics, I told her no. “So why should you and James try to stop her from being happy?” Was what she said. Apparently everyone knew about her page even before her parents knew about it, I’m so proud of her and what she does. She started the page during the corona virus outbreak and she had done so much. I mean, how did Anna manage to have a well arranged Instagram page with the right preset and all. I dedicated a night to scrutinize the page and I was amazed at how much people trust her methods so much, most of them elderly people, listening and being influenced by a fourteen year old. Of course we didn’t disable there account, I got her a camera to make her recording easy. At such a young age, my daughter is responsible for that large number of people following her, following her for a purpose, they’re gaining something from her page. Something they most likely ain’t seeing nowhere else.
