I’ve seen a lot of women suffer bullying and depression as a result of their beards, fully grown beards. You can imagine going out and people start asking if you a man or woman, it’s really demeaning.

Women too have testosterone, though in small amounts. Some women may have too much of it, it is this imbalance that causes development of secondary male sexual characteristics in women. It again depends on how much more testosterone than the normal level is a woman’s body producing and accordingly the person can be treated if need be. You can always check with your endocrinologist.
Women can grow prominent beards as a result of
exposure to high levels of testoserone in early foetal life which sensitizes the beard area to respond to potential testosterone in later life. Then, high levels of testosterone in adult life, low levels of estrogen in adult life. On average, women have less beard growth than men, but many women have enough beard growth to shave every day.
