Heredity is one of the leading causes of cellulite. If your mother had cellulite then it is more likely that you will have cellulite too. This factor is one of the hardest to control since one can never choose biological parents, they are always there to begin with.
Another cause of cellulite are birth control pills, especially when started at an early age. This is because the body cannot handle high levels of estrogen to begin with. Because of these estrogen imbalances, the likelihood of cellulite formation increases.
A poor diet can also be a cause of cellulite formation. Eating junk food, drinking sodas, basically follows the simple term “garbage in, garbage out,” or the other term “what you eat is what you are.”
Lack of water intake can also be a reason for cellulite formation. This can easily be connected to the prior reason of a poor diet. If you drink sodas instead of water, and you make soda our water, then there is a high probability of not only cellulite formation, but also diabetes as well. This is easily preventable, so please do drink your water.
Another cause of cellulite formation is smoking. Cellulite is often associated with hormonal imbalance, and toxins in the body. Smoking is harmful in more ways than one, and one of its’ drawbacks is higher susceptibility to cellulite formation.
Cellulite is caused by a buildup of fat underneath the skin. The collagen fibers between the skin and muscle separate the underlying fat into multiple pockets. Cellulite can become more visible as you age and your skin becomes thinner and loses elasticity. This exposes the rippled connective tissues underneath. The appearance of cellulite can be made worse by the accumulation of fluid in the surrounding tissues. Necessary medications is also likely to cause cellulite, it is essential that there is hormone balance in order to prevent cellulite from forming. However, if you are required to take some medications due a lingering illness, or a hereditary hormonal problem, or the like, then it is likely to cause cellulite formation.
Some women only get cellulite after their first child, the excess fat they stored during pregnancy, possible inactivity, and unbalanced hormonal levels a probable cause for this cellulite formation.
