Why do I sometimes bleed in-between my period?
Most likely reason is something bumped or tapped your cervix. Did you possibly have intercourse? Do you have an IUD in? Could it be a bit of breakthrough bleeding from your birth control method? You could also have irritated your vagina somehow. Pink blood is fresh, but diluted. Maybe you got a pinch somewhere? If it doesn’t clear up or it gets heavier, you might want to make a gynecologist appointment.
Bleeding between menstrual cycles can be due to structural issues within the uterus or womb, it can also be as a result of sexually transmitted infections that typically infect the cervix, such as gonorrhea or chlamydia. Also, you didn’t state if you’re on any birth control. Birth control pills tend to cause spotting during periods.
