It’s very difficult to stop a migraine once it has started. Migraines are quite serious. You need to prevent it if you don’t want to take medicines for it. Primarily, stay hydrated, get the sleep you need, exercise, particularly the neck and back to keep the spine stretched, and avoid foods/beverages that trigger them. As soon as you feel one coming on, drink a cup of black coffee, turn out lights and sounds and lie down as soon as possible. Massage your head and neck and relax until it passes.
Headaches are usually due to dehydration, so be sure to consume around 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day and make sure to relax your eyes. For example you could reduce the amount of time you spend looking at a screen as it also plays a role in headaches; getting enough sleep is also a factor and sometimes listening to relaxing music helps.
