You have no reason to lie to your insurance company. Lol. So, you think you could just declare your insured items stolen, go to your insurance company and they just get a whole new item for you without proper investigation and all? Of course your insurance company have staff that their job is to make sure and confirm all that. Don’t play yourself
You can pretty much lie about anything. However, here’s the thing about insurance: it exists to protect you in case of emergency. That’s literally the entire point. So if you have an accident, or your car is stolen, or whatever else, your insurance company should give you money to make that situation right. Unless they find out they lied to you. Which insurance companies are really good at doing. It’s called insurance fraud, and they definitely have investigators who do all they can to find it. And here’s the thing about professional investigators: they’re better at finding secrets than you are at keeping them.
