I usually click accept because I want to retain my settings on the website. If the prompt covers only a small portion of the screen, and I don’t plan on returning to the website, I continue reading without interacting with cookies. Sometimes I disable JavaScript, refresh and re-enable if the website has other popups.
Whenever I see a giant banner asking me to to accept cookies I try to reject them all. If website makes it especially difficult, I start to contemplate how much do I care about what’s on the website, some websites are giant dickheads when it comes to this. Usually the answer is not much and I close the site.
