Should I ask that my company pays me wardrobe allowance if they want to tell me what to wear to work?

  1. Unless the company is requiring you to wear a certain style, then you don’t have to pay for it. If a company is requiring its employees to go out and buy a certain pair or pants or shoes then yeah, they’re fucked up for that. If owner of the business, can’t afford it then why should the employees have to take the hit?

  2. A job where you have to pay to be allowed to work isn’t a job, it’s a scam. They want you to wear a uniform, they get to provide it then, free of charge. There’s a pattern I’ve noticed with the companies of nowadays, they want you to dress “all that” but without giving you allowance for that or giving you a percentage for that. Instead, you’re committed to a job that got you using the little they pay to buy work outfits.
