An ulcer is a little wound in the lining of your gut. These ulcers are commonly found in the duodenum and the stomach. Peptic ulcer is usually caused by an infection with a bacteria called helibacter pylori which can be gotten from eating contaminated foods. Other causes can include; alcohol, stress, etc. when there is an ulcer, the stomach acid enters the wound and irritates the guts, which results in abdominal pains that feels like burning sensation.
Stomach ulcer tend to be caused by a nasty bacterium called Helicobacter pylori and aggravated by stress and spicy foods. Ulcerations of the mouth can be caused by a variety of things but generally trauma in my experience. This trauma could be from a drink that was to hot, an accidental biting of the tongue or possibly a retainer or other foreign object in the mouth during sleep.
