  1. I do not see any reason why anyone should request to know another person’s income. Except you work in a place where the salary structure is transparent and everyone know how much every other person earns, you shouldn’t tell others how much you earn. it’s very appropriate not to share anything personal you don’t wish to. When asked how much you eat and you don’t wish to let it out, you can always respond in a calm manner; such as saying, “I’m sorry but I don’t discuss financial matters.” You’re sending the person to his boundary while making them know you don’t want to have that discussion with them.

  2. Although, I don’t bring up the subject voluntarily and I often wish that people don’t bring it up. But, whenever the subject is brought up, I simply refer anyone that asks me to my company’s website. My income is made public, not just my co-workers know much I earn, every other person who knows my job role and company sure have access to the knowledge of my income. I am indifferent bout it anyway, but I never bring up the subject voluntarily.
