Is it proper to let my dog sleep in my bed? I find it so therapeutic sleeping in the same bed with him.

From my point of view, my pup is my child. You would never tell your kid to get off your bed or that they aren’t allowed on the couch. A dog would without hesitation give its life for its owner. The least I could do is let my dog be comfortable wherever she wants during her time. Couches, beds, blankets, etc can be replaced. So yes, my dog is allowed on the couch and also allowed to sleeps in bed with me.
I’ve heard people say that you shouldn’t let dogs sleep in your bed or allow them to sit on your couch but I’ve never heard any of that backed up from the trainers I’ve gone to with my current dog. I have friends that do both, it seems to be a personal comfort thing. But do remember that dogs will be content with what they know. If at some point you decide you do not want your dog on the bed, he or she may no longer be content to sleep on the floor.
