Getting used to sleeping aids could pose even bigger problems for you to overcome in the future because you are not neccessarily treating the insomnia but only masking it in a way. Drinking, ultimately is also bad for your liver, the best approach is to find natural remedies to this problem that would in the course of time, heal the sleeping problem itself.
I see you found the good old remedy for insomnia, a glass of wine – especially a chilled one, will always be relaxing, and the sleep that comes after, is quite deep and blissful. I have been drinking wine for a while now though not to sleep but sometimes wine is actually good for your health, if it works for you then I do not see why not.
